Education and support for the fight against cancer

Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center offers a variety of educational seminars and support groups to help patients and their families find the tools they need to regain a sense of control over their lives.

Presented in small-group settings to encourage questions and in-depth discussion, our seminars allow patients to:

  • Explore the role of spirituality in illness
  • Discover ways to eat better
  • Practice relaxation techniques
  • Learn to integrate exercise into treatment and follow-up care

Our support groups, which are geared to specific cancers and methods of treatment, allow patients to meet with one another and share information and moral support with the help of our staff to facilitate discussion.
