The Friends helps to select and display works of art throughout Dana-Farber, contributing to the well being of patients, families, and staff. Read more
CIBC Miracle Day
On the first Wednesday of each December, CIBC World Markets, a full-service investment bank, joins its colleagues around the world in giving all commissions to support pediatric cancer programs funded by the Friends of Dana-Farber, Jimmy Fund, and Pan-Massachusetts Challenge. Read more
The Friends' Corner Gift Shop
Established in 1977, the Friends' Corner Gift Shop offers a wide selection of gifts and everyday items to patients, families, and staff. Friends volunteers continue to staff the shop on a daily basis. Proceeds from sales go toward research and patient care at Dana-Farber. Read more
Friends' Fellows
This fellowship, awarded every year since 1976, funds gifted investigators pursuing independent pilot studies. Rachel Rosofsky, MD, was named Friends' Fellow for 2005-2006.
Holiday Decorations
Each year during the winter holidays, Friends volunteers bring good cheer to the Institute through decorating the halls of Dana-Farber.
The Friends spread holiday cheer during December's Holiday Hospitality program.
Holiday Hospitality
Every December, the Friends hosts its annual array of sweet treats and coffee in the Dana lobby for staff, patients, and their families. Local vendors donate the food and beverages for this program.
Holiday Performances
Held annually in December, these musical performances feature singers from local colleges and high schools.
Patient Gift Bags
Once a month, Friends volunteers deliver gift bags to Dana-Farber patients. Volunteers take a few moments to speak with recipients as well as provide a bag of items purchased by the Friends. Read more
Prostate Awareness for Research and Treatment (P.A.R.T.)
The Friends started this program in 1998 to target a disease that affects more than 250,000 American men and their families.
Friends' Donations to Dana-Farber
The Dana-Farber Chapel
In 1990, the Friends raised more than $100,000 to design, construct, and furnish the chapel, a spiritual sanctuary for patients and family members of all denominations. Read more

From 1993 to 1998, this satellite group raised more than $1 million to support AIDS research and awareness.
The Friends Boutique at the Gillette Center for Women's Cancers
Established with a $1 million gift from the Friends, the boutique provides a variety of specialized products and services that cater to the individual needs of women affected by cancer. Read more

The clinic serves the growing need for cancer screening and counseling about risk factors and cancer care. Read more
